Bluegrass & Stuff
Loaded Goat, Konza Swamp Band, Betse & Clarke

6:00pm Saturday, June 25th, 2016
Kearney Amphitheater

Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council #8915
Price: $15.00 at the Gate

Loaded Goat

Loaded Goat is a mad mash of bluegrass, old-time, honky-tonk music. To activate: Flick a little moonshine in it's face and get ready for some banjo for your ear-holes. Playing a predominantly original catalog of heartbreak and headache, Loaded Goat will occasionally surprise with the surprising cover song. Loaded Goat is great for bars, campfire jams, weddings, cowboy saloon shootouts, Rural Grit Happy Hour, and more, more, more.

Konza Swamp Band

"These guys are way too good to have a made up bio by me." - Rhino

This will be the 3rd year we've hosted KSB, and they still don't have a bio! Fortunately, they're far better musicians than they are bio...writers.

Betse & Clarke

Betse & Clarke explore their love of old time music with an inventive spirit, taking listeners on a field trip across mountain folkways and new landscapes. Their music is familiar... and totally different; a fiddle and banjo duo with a sense of adventure, radiating outward from Kansas City, Missouri.

Betse Ellis plays fiddle and sings like nobody's business. Her years with The Wilders proved her passion for Ozark tunes and an unstoppable stage presence. Her early violin studies continue to shape her musicianship through technique and composition.

Clarke Wyatt has an original and creative approach to three-finger banjo. His background as a pianist and composer inform his banjo method as much as his love for old time music.

Together, Betse & Clarke give every listener something to appreciate. They perform traditional tunes learned from cherished sources, creative arrangements of familiar and forgotten songs, and original compositions. You can expect to hear something new that preserves the spirit of tradition.
