About the Kearney AmphitheaterBreathtaking is an appropriate adjective to describe the recently-built Kearney Amphitheater in Kearney's Jesse James Park. The project has cost upwards of $917,000, funded through $350,000 in city lease-purchase financing, a $150,000 grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Utilizing tax credits secured thought the Missouri Development Finance Board, over $400,000 in donations and in-kind contributions were also raised.
