In 1975 they released the
eponymous Fleetwood Mac, a huge hit, reaching
No.1 in the US
and selling over 5 million copies. Among the hit singles from this album were
"Over
My Head", "Say You Love Me", "Rhiannon",
and "Landslide"
The album released in 1977
was Rumors. Critically
acclaimed, it was the recipient of the Grammy Award
for Album of the Year for 1977. Hit singles included "Go Your Own Way", U.S. No.1 "Dreams", "Don't
Stop", "You Make Loving Fun",
"Second Hand News",
"Gold Dust Woman" and "The Chain".
By 2003, Rumours had sold over 19 million copies in the
U.S.
alone (certified as a diamond album by the RIAA), and a total of 40
million copies worldwide, maintaining its status as one of the biggest-selling
albums of all time.
Fleetwood Mac's popularity was undiminished as it marked the
20th anniversary of Rumours. By 1998 the band was inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame.
By 2000, Fleetwood Mac had sold more than 100 million copies
of its albums - including 25 million for Rumours alone - making it one of the
most popular rock bands in history.

- Take I-35 N towards Des Moines
- Take the MO-92 exit (6th street), EXIT 26, Turn Right onto MO-92
- Follow MO-92 (6th Street) to Jefferson, Turn Left
- Take Jefferson N through town to Jesse James Park (~ 2-3 miles)
Directions from St. Joseph, Missouri:
- Take I-229 S to I-29 S
- Continue to the MO-92 exit, EXIT 18, toward Smithville Lake (~25 Miles)
- Turn Left onto MO-92, continue on until Jefferson St in Kearney (~23 Miles),
- Turn Left
- Take Jefferson N through town to Jesse James Park (~ 2-3 miles)
