Trampled Under Foot

When was the last time you saw a three-piece family blues band with two left-handed guitarists? Let alone a blues band with two strong vocals both female and male?

Trampled Under Foot, winners of the 2008 International Blues Challenge, is like no other band you will ever see. Danielle is an amazing blues singer and an excellent bassist. Kris fires right in the pocket on the drums and sings as well. Nick is a strong singer and an accomplished guitarist, winning the 2008 Albert King Award from the IBC.

TUF books venues and festivals world wide, having performed at numerous national and international blues festivals.

TUF are registered songwriters / performers with BMI.

Levee Town

Levee Town is a radiantly hot rockin' Americana foursome out of Kansas City. Their music ranges from covers of Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Bob Dylan, and Big Joe Turner, to originals like Go to Heaven, The Winter song, and Forgive the Intrusion. The sound is a searing mix of traditional rock'n'roll, blues, and rockabilly.

The beat is supplied by Jan "Big Show" Faircloth. He is originally from central Kansas, and builds the rock solid foundation of Levee Town's rhythm. He can mesmerize you with a constant count, bang'em like Bonham, or tickle your ears with the brushes. Jan even sings chorus.

Jacque Garoutte multi-instrumentalist arranger and producer fills in the bass with years of musical experience. From Miami Oklahoma, Jacque lays down a deep strong bass line, supplies quite bit of energy onstage, and sings with a smooth single malt voice.

From Chicago, Jimmie Meade plays the harmonica like a man possessed by…angels and demons alike. He will make you smile as he jumps and jives during his intense harp and vocal renditions of Dylan and Waters.

While growing up in central Oklahoma, Brandon Hudspeth saw Johnny Cash on Sesame Street and had to start pickin' on guitars. As he sings, he rings the neck of his wide body Gibson like its a Flying Vee dipped in gasoline.

These guys are blazing hot! They will cause you to stomp your feet, clap your hands, and maybe dance on the tables. Levee Town generates a lot of excitement and a smokin' good time. For your own protection, you better wear a fire suit!

Lil' Eva and the Works

Little Eva and the Works performs a mix of everything from swinging blues to funky classic R&B. Lisa Swedlund (FKA Schnebelen) helped form the original group in Kansas City back in 1992 and they produced one CD titled "Tasty Blues". Lisa is back now with her husband, Jim Swedlund playing keyboards, Everett Keener on guitar/vocals, Terry Pettet on bass/vocals, and Van Davison on drums. The group is steadily booked with various blues clubs around Kansas City.

Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, with Challenge America funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, who believes that a great nation deserves great art.
